World War II in Europe, 1945:  Using film as a historical record, the camera men’s instructions were to film everything that would prove one day that this had actually happened.

The horrifying footage they captured revealed atrocities on a scale beyond comprehension, and they feared the world would never believe it.

The extraordinary story of the Allied forces who filmed the gruesome scenes in the Nazi concentration camps, and Sidney Bernstein’s attempt to produce a landmark documentary record of what they found.  


The movie “Holocaust: Night Will Fall” is a 2014 documentary film directed by Andre Singer that chronicles the making of the 1945 British government documentary German Concentration Camps Factual Survey.

The 1945 Documentary was produced by a team of top filmmakers, that included Alfred Hitchcock.

It shows first scenes of Nazi concentration camps that were so shocking and politically sensitive, the movie was shelved by the British government in 1945.

Night Will Fall tells the story of post-war filmmakers assigned to document the Nazi brutality.

The movie premiered worldwide January 27, 2015 for Holocaust Memorial Day.
