BOMBSHELL … Coming ‘Islamic Caliphate’ will be made up of several states (unlike the past) with Turkey as the capital.
In an amazing coverage that just came out Wednesday, that was published throughout the Muslim world (including even CNN Arabic Version), the Chairman of the International Union for Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi – which his union represents the largest body of Muslim scholars worldwide and on their behalf – just announced in Turkey that:
The Caliphate in today’s age must be established through a number of several states that are governed by Shariah and supported by both, the rulers and the people in the form of a federation or confederation and not as it was in the past.
Qaradawi points to the problem that since Muslims are scattered in so many different states, it would be impossible to include the coming Caliphate as one state as in the times of old.
By this, the Muslim union of scholars, lead by Qaradawi, is setting up the theological precedence by announcing that a future confederacy of Muslim nations must and will be established and centered in the land of the Muslim Caliphate, in Turkey. Read More here.
Winds of War are Blowing (GOG and MAGOG on the horizon)
Ezekiel 37-39 describes a time, at the end of the age, when Israel has been restored to her land, but will then face an invasion force from a northern country (and it’s allies) after God puts “hooks” in its ” jaw.”
This is the War of GOG and MAGOG – Ezekiel 38:2-8:
2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3 And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
The invading countries are listed by names we don’t recognize today, but many scholars believe they have identified where the people groups were once from.
It has become popular to identify “Gomer” as Germany and the terms “Rosh,” “Gog,” “Magog,” “Meshech,” and “Tubal” as being Russia. Among dispensational authors there is almost complete unanimity on this point.
However, these terms refer, instead, to a Near-eastern coalition of nations which will seek to destroy Israel, as demonstrated by the linked article (below).
The Nations of Ezekiel 38-39 War: Who Will Participate in the Battle?
It is shown on the basis of exegesis, hermeneutics, linguistics, and historical anthropology that,
- Gomer cannot be Germany but rather Gimarrai
- Meshech cannot be Moscow but Mushki
- Tubal is not Tobol’sk but Tabal
- Gog is probably a personage
- Magog is unidentifiable except as a general reference (“land of Gog”) to Asia Minor
- Rosh is not a reference to a place but is to be translated “chief” or “head”
- The terms “north parts” and “north quarters” cannot mean Russia but, within Ezekiel’s frame of reference, refer to modern Turkey.
What Ezekiel prophesied, is an end-time battle involving the following nations that will against Israel:
- Turkey (Meshech, Tubal, Magog[?], Gomer, Togarmah;
- Iran (Persia),
- Sudan (Ethiopia or Cush)
Precisely why Turkey (Anatolia, Asia Minor) is set forth in Ezekiel’s prophecy under four names (Meshech, Tubal, Gomer and Togarmah) cannot be determined. Perhaps it points to some future political break-up of that area. Perhaps it is simply to clearly specify that the entire nation or land will be involved: west (Meshech), Central (Gomer), and east (Tubal and Togarmah).
The Nations Involved – And Those Who are Not
With Turkey, Iran, Libya and Sudan, Gog leads an Islamic coalition of nations against Israel: Turkey from the north, Iran from the east, Libya from the west and Sudan from the south.
Note also the nations who are (surprisingly!) absent: Egypt and Syria.
Why? The only plausible answer is that they both have somehow been relegated to an inferior position militarily. This fits nicely into Daniel chapter 11 with both the King of the North (Syria) and the King of the South (Egypt) being destroyed by Antichrist. Read full article’s how and why.
When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Luke 21:20
We don’t know how long it will take for all Antichrist alliances to lock elbows, but if our present reality is, in fact, at the cusp of this eschatological prophecy, then this generation seems destined to see the second coming of Jesus.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matt 24:32-35
